I had a lighting assignment due this week for my online course in which I had to gain some knowledge of lighting and shooting 3/4 and full length portraits. Originally I started with myself as a test subject with a 10-second camera timer and a manual focus setting.

Traditionally I've specialised in landscapes, so now I'm branching into studio lighting and learning to sculpt form with interesting light and shadows. ANNL9259 This one of me was a nice one. I lit it at a slight angle from below and looked down at the light with my nose pointing toward it.

ANNL9294 This one is an interesting one, I like what the light is doing with my cheekbones. It’s a difficult task trying to figure out complimenting ways to sculpt those.
